Amazon.comLike its fellow HBO series Sex and the City, this half-hour comedy broke some TV rules and went from critics' darling to an award-winning series in three years. Curb Your Enthusiasm is the brainchild of star-creator Larry David who co-created Seinfeld and was the basis for the easily rattled George Costanza (who was played by Jason Alexander). Like George, David has a tendency to speak too much, blow things out of proportion, and, most often, fail in the end (and often liking it that way). David's new show is also like its predecessor: it's about "nothing" except following the day-to-day ramblings of a sometime writer and comic (this time in L.A.). Eternal questions stemming from universal daily dilemmas are honed to perfect comedic absurdity. A notable exception is the show is only scripted by plot; much of the action is improvised. David plays "himself" (as does his friend, Richard Lewis) although his manager and wife are played by comedians Jeff Garlin and Cheryl Hines. Although the show is a comedic gem, one can't take more than an episode or two at a time--it's acidic, biting comedy. The episodes are often built like a house of cards, which the irritable David will surely collapse by the end. Like another caustic TV character, Dabney Colman's Buffalo Bill (1983-84), Larry David is not for everybody. --Doug Thomas

Great Collection!
What can I say, this product speaks for itself. Having all 6 seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm is a great deal! They come all packaged together, same DVDs and cases as if you were purchasing each one separately (no bonus material or gift set-type of goodies, unfortunately).
Larry David recks havoc unbeknownst to him. Hilariously funny!!!
I am a huge CYE fan. I caught the show during the third season and I can't get enough. My husband loves it as well. Larry David's quirky, subtle and whimsical humor is definately not lost on me. Having all six seasons for less than 85 bucks is a great deal. I purchased it earlier this month in the gold box deal of the day. Amazon is the best! Do not sleep on this show if you like a good laugh.

I haven't received these in the mail yet, as I just ordered them the other day, but I have seen "many" of the episodes, and the show is GREAT.... have contemplated buying these at stores etc. for a long time.... with the "deal of the day" it became a no-brainer.
I am NOT a fan of the show "Seinfeld" but I absolutely LOVE this show. I hear a lot of people say "if you like Seinfeld, you'll like this" but I'd say, if you've stayed away from this show because you don't like Seinfeld, you should check this show out, it's a LOT better, and actually very different....
